Just Around the Corner!

Our last concert of the school year is just around the corner.  Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 19 at 7:00 PM.  Students should come at 6:30 wearing their choir t-shirts, jeans or denim capris, and shoes that cannot be kicked off when dancing (tennis shoes would be perfect). 

Epic Club will again take donations for the Red Cross.  Please let me know if you have any questions or comments!

AWESOME!

Awesome is the only word to describe the students' performance at Tuesday evening's performance.  We earned in just over an hour $416 for the American Red Cross!  Those proceeds will be included in a district-wide care package headed to Japan at the end of April.

Thank you so much to the students, teachers, and parents who made the evening so successful and inspirational!

Awesome Concert!

All the choirs did an amazing job at the concert on Wednesday evening.  Thanks to the parents and staff who graciously volunteered their time, all went smoothly in the audience, as well.  Thanks to Brad Love, we also have some terrific photos from the concert.  Check out all 125 photos at http://dcms2010choir.shutterfly.com/.  A link to this will also be available for the rest of the year in the panel to the right. 

The December Concert!

Our December concert is almost here!  Make sure your students are at the high school by 6:30 this Wednesday evening for our 7:00 concert.  Students should wear their choir shirts and black slacks or khakis.  Bel Canto and Elite choirs will meet for attendance in their auditorium seats.  6th and 7th grade choirs will meet in the high school choir room.  Our electronic program is available for download here.  If you have any questions or comments, please email me.  See you there!

Solo and Ensemble Contest

Solo and Ensemble contest is a chance for solo piano and voice students to perform in front of a judge and receive expert critique on their performance.  The contest is on Saturday, January 29.  (Specific times for each soloist will be announced closer to the event).  Contest fees are $12.00 and are due to Mrs. Krug no later than Monday, November 29.  Cash is fine and checks should be made out to Doe Creek Middle School.

Program Tuesday, October 26

Tomorrow is the big night.  Be sure your students come to the high school auditorium in the choir t-shirts and black pants or khakis by 6:30 PM.  The performance begins at 7:00.  Come early for good seating and parking.
